We need some financial help please.
The software version that this site uses is about to reach the end of it's support life! This means it has to be upgraded to a new version to keep it safe for you.
Because the site has grown so much - and has a lot of growing to do - the risk of corruption in such a major upgrade has resulted in the decision to have the upgrade done professionally. This is not a cheap option but the best way to ensure that it continues to provide the best information for your interests.
Please help by making a donation to help pay for this. Or by subscribing to the Glass Zoo or Glass Study.
Please use the Donation option to the left or see "How to support the website" below for subscription options to other sites. Thank you.

Gaelic translator/s sought.
Is there a Gaelic speaking glass-lover out there? Would you like to help by translating the navigation of this website so that it can truly represent Scottish culture bi-lingually? The basic task involves about 400 words or phrases and this would go into the public domain enabling any other website based on Joomla to present in Gaelic. In addition all the menus etcetera would need translation. A smaller list, for this site only.
Please get in touch if you are interested, either via Contact, or the forum.

A Catalogue of Scottish Glass
The Catalogue now has over 4,000 items.
These informational catalogues will continue expanding to include all available glass images. Images are being provided by glassmakers, dealers and collectors - anyone can contribute. Nothing is offered for sale! But you can contact active glassmakers for details to buy or commission their work.

Your Help Needed, please
Can visitors based in Scotland please let us know about the glass related businesses active in their area. Name, Address, type of business and if possible contact info; Studios, Stained Glass, Glassworks, Industrial, Lampworkers, Decorators and engravers, Galleries and distributors. All data is needed for a research project but will also be added to The List and Links.

Building a Community
Currently the site is run by a small team, by extending that team this site can last forever!
Other researchers/writers who would like to add and manage their own content/articles directly, please contact me via the Contact option to discuss. Translating material or editing services will also be appreciated.
Especially cool will be a Gaelic speaker to translate the site navigation, not articles... although that could be cool too!

Can you send additions please
This is a record, with data sources, of the people and companies who have been and are involved in Scottish Glass. If you want items added, please send the content and reference sources via the forums or the contact link. The forum option is preferred, as it allows the details to be discussed openly.
|
|
Articles are always needed. They can be about a single person, subject or company, or they can be general. The only guideline is that they relate to Scotland and glass.
